With the five match series locked at 1-1, this promises to be another fascinating encounter between New Zealand and South Africa in Auckland.
The hosts were clearly still feeling the effects of their World Cup final defeat in the opening game of the series, but they bounced back impressively in Hamilton and perhaps now have the momentum.
For South Africa, all seemed to be going swimmingly, until an untimely batting collapse gave the Black Caps a comfortable 68 run win and saw the series tied.
Both sides have given valuable playing time to fringe players, and they will be desperate to see them step up and stake their claims in this one.
The stage is set for another decent battle between these two sides who have seen plenty of each other of late and this should be a good one at Eden Park, Auckland on Friday 20th March 2026.

South Africa vs. New Zealand – T20 Series Match 3 of 3 Predictions
Best Bet
There was a real sense of authority about the way in which New Zealand wrestled back momentum in the series in Hamilton, and they will be eager to kick on here.
Having endured a batting collapse at the Bay Oval in match one, they dug deep in the second game, with valuable contributions from Devon Conway with the bat and Ben Sears and Lockie Ferguson with the ball, changing the game.
Conditions will change a fair bit here in Auckland, but the Kiwis know this ground and this surface well enough to start as strong favourites.
South Africa showed glimpses in Hamilton but came up well short with the bat and a lack of time in the middle of late, does look to be costing their inexperienced batting lineup.

All of the momentum in this series does feel as if it is with New Zealand at the moment and the Kiwis will be desperate to kick on here and take a lead in this five game battle.
With ball in hand for the Proteas, Ottneil Baartman has been one of the standouts and his variety and changes of pace have been keeping the Kiwi batters in check.
He has picked up wickets in both games so far and looks decent value to continue his good run of form.
Meanwhile, the form of Devon Conway came roaring back in the last game in Hamilton, and he will be chasing a repeat performance here in Auckland.
His opening partner Tom Lathum remains a high quality performer across all formats, but he does look a touch out of nick, and he could do with a score in this one.
Best Value Bet
The enigmatic Wiaan Mulder continues to play plenty of roles for this South African side and he was entrusted with an opening spot at the top of the order last time out.
He got a start without kicking on but he has a 360 game, and he will be looking to take on this New Zealand bowling outfit from the outset.
Mulder can be feast or famine with bat in hand but if he gets going and has time to bat, he can be very difficult to stop.
