Two sides that have made light work of the T20 World Cup group stages kick their respective Super 8 campaigns off here, as South Africa take on tournament hosts, India.
In a repeat of the 2024 T20 World Cup final, both sides have long been touted as two potential winners of the 2026 competition, and both are acutely aware of what is at stake here.
With three games each to play in the truncated Super 8’s, there is very little margin for error for either of these sides, but a win could see them very well placed in pursuit of a semi-final spot.

Best Bet
Betting against hosts India in home conditions is always risky, and this is a prediction that could fall flat but these two sides have been in contrasting form throughout the tournament.
India have huffed and puffed to wins over the likes of the USA and the Netherlands and with their batting line up yet to fully fire, some of their key men look a little under cooked.
By contrast, aside from a nail biter against Afghanistan, South Africa have been dominant in all of their performances, most notably when cruising past New Zealand.
Chasing the value doesn’t always work but the Proteas are a decent price to win here, on a ground they have played every game at in this tournament so far.
Same Game Multi
With plenty of value in backing South Africa in the H2H market, adding another couple of picks on could prove valuable.
The Proteas opening pair of Aiden Markram and Quinton de Kock have both hit their straps in the tournament so far and it looks to be a deadly duo at the very top of the batting line up.
By contrast, Abhishek Sharma has bagged three ducks at the top of the Indian order, and he looks terribly out of nick.
South Africa have enjoyed conditions here in Ahmedabad throughout the tournament, with Lungi Ngidi looking particularly dangerous and he will be charging in from the outset against India here.
Best Value Bet
Unlike many pitches in India, the track here in Ahmedabad looks to offer plenty to seamers, even with the white ball and Jasprit Bumrah is the best exponent of that in world cricket.
By his incredibly high standard, Bumrah has had a quiet tournament thus far, but India have yet to be truly tested in the group stages.
He tends to enjoy rising to the challenge against the best in the world and Bumrah will give plenty of South African batters the hurry up here and he could snare a few wickets.
